Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management strategies tailored to students with special needs. Collaborate regularly with speech therapists, behavioral health specialists, occupational therapists, and other professionals to support student progress. Utilize educational technology tools to enhance learning experiences and track student assessments using standardized testing methods. Maintain open communication with parents and guardians through regular updates on student development and progress. Ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes early childhood education principles and Montessori or preschool best practices. Skills Proven experience working with children in early childhood education settings, including preschool or elementary school environments. Strong knowledge of special education law, IEP development, and instructional modifications for students with disabilities. Expertise in behavior management techniques for students with autism spectrum disorders (ASD), neurodevelopmental disorders, or behavioral health needs. Excellent communication skills for effective parent-teacher interactions and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction, and educational technology integration. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodiverse learners; familiarity with speech therapy techniques is a plus. Ability to mentor junior staff and foster a collaborative classroom atmosphere that supports inclusive learning.
