Youll guide either an elementary structured support classroom with a caseload of 6 students, or contribute to a collaborative middle school co-teaching environment serving 11 students. The position offers dedicated classroom assistance in both settings, with specialized support staff including Teaching Assistants, a Behavior Technician, and, for one student requiring added care, a 1:1 aide.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Special Education certification or eligibility Experience working in elementary and/or middle school settings Proficiency supporting students with mild behavioral needs and some physical care requirements (toileting, with feeding only required for one student using a feeding tube) Ability to foster a nurturing, structured, and inclusive environment Excellent collaboration and communication skills with students, support staff, and families Strong organizational skills and adaptability to meet varied student needs
