What Were Looking For:

Valid Special Education Teacher certification Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students Comfort supporting students with assistive needs, including toileting assistance and (in middle school) a student with a feeding tube Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs Collaborative approach working with teaching assistants and behavior technicians

Your Role Will Include:

Leading an elementary classroom of 6 students, with in-class support from a teaching assistant and a behavior technician; focus on mild behavioral needs and toileting support (no feeding required) Teaching a middle school classroom with 11 students, supported by three full-time teaching assistants, a 1:1 aide, and a teacher; primarily supporting toileting needs and one student with a feeding tube Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student Fostering positive, inclusive classroom environments that promote academic and social growth Collaborating with fellow educators, support staff, and families for the holistic development of each student
