Current Openings:

Resource Teacher, Elementary level: Focus on supporting students within general education classrooms and leading pull-out groups for targeted individualized instruction. Self-Contained/Adaptive Teacher, Middle school: Provide comprehensive, individualized instruction in a self-contained setting designed for students with more significant needs.

Desired Qualifications:

Valid Special Education Teacher certification, or eligibility for certification. Experience working with K-8 students in resource and/or adaptive/self-contained settings is highly valued. Strong knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, and instructional differentiation. Exceptional ability to collaborate with school teams, families, and related service providers. Open to educators from outside North Carolina; support navigating state requirements provided. Strong organizational skills, adaptability, and passion for inclusive education.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized lesson plans addressing various learning styles and abilities. Assess student progress, communicate findings, and adjust strategies to maximize success. Foster an inclusive, positive classroom climate encouraging student participation and growth. Collaborate with general education teachers to promote academic and behavioral success. Maintain accurate documentation, ensure compliance with IEP goals, and participate in IEP meetings. Engage in ongoing professional development and school-based initiatives.
