Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (K-12) Experience working in K-12 educational settings, preferably with itinerant or district-wide roles Strong knowledge of assistive technology and accommodations for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students Ability to collaborate effectively with general and special education staff, students, and families Excellent communication and advocacy skills
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative support to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students at multiple school sites throughout the district Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Facilitate access to general education curriculum using specialized strategies and tools Collaborate with faculty, families, and service providers to ensure student success Offer professional development and resources to school staff on inclusive practices
