Key Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree (B.A.) required State certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired is mandatory Previous experience with pediatric learners preferred Strong communication skills and adaptability in dynamic school environments Passion for fostering independence and academic growth in students with visual impairments
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized instruction to a visually impaired student on a 1:1 basis Develop and implement IEP goals, tailoring teaching strategies to the students needs Collaborate with classroom staff, therapists, and family members to ensure holistic support Utilize assistive technology and adaptive resources to enhance learning Regularly assess and document student progress, making data-driven instructional adjustments Promote an inclusive, accessible learning environment that nurtures student confidence and participation
