Desired Qualifications & Experience:

Valid and current Special Education teaching certification Proven experience with individualized education programs (IEPs) and differentiated instruction Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage with students, families, and fellow educators Familiarity with a range of instructional strategies, classroom technologies, and behavior management techniques Ability to adapt lesson plans to meet the unique needs and abilities of each student

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement tailored instructional plans for students with diverse learning needs Develop and maintain IEPs, tracking progress and adjusting goals as necessary Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to ensure inclusive practices Foster a supportive and encouraging classroom environment that promotes student confidence and achievement Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress, successes, and areas for development Participate in professional development sessions and staff meetings as required
