e2112-68333 Job Description Step into a meaningful role supporting a student as a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired in a full-time, contract position. Utilize your expertise to work 1:1 with a pediatric student in a school environment, ensuring they receive personalized and effective instruction to thrive academically and socially. This is an on-site opportunity well-suited for candidates with a passion for long-term impact and openness to travel.
What Youll Bring:
Bachelors Degree (B.A.) required Current and valid state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired Prior experience working with pediatric populations, especially in a 1:1 educational capacity Strong knowledge of adaptive technologies and curriculum modifications to support visually impaired learners Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualized educational support to a student with visual impairments, adapting materials and teaching strategies Develop and implement IEP goals in coordination with school staff and families Utilize assistive technologies to facilitate learning and maximize student independence Coordinate with special education teams to ensure comprehensive support Monitor and document student progress, adjusting approaches as needed Act as an advocate for student success, ensuring equal access to all aspects of campus life
