This contract role focuses on early childhood engagement, providing support to students from birth through five years old in a dynamic school setting near Lincoln, NE. With both full-time and part-time opportunities available (part-time between 15-25 hours per week), flexibility is built in to complement your work-life balance. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid teaching certification with a specialization as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing Experience with early childhood caseloads (birth to five years preferred) Strong understanding of language development and individualized educational strategies for deaf/hard of hearing students Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Commitment to onsite instruction and engagement with both students and families
Role Responsibilities:
Provide direct instructional services and adapt lessons to meet the needs of early childhood students with hearing loss Develop, implement, and assess Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in partnership with families and multidisciplinary teams Collaborate with educators and support staff to facilitate inclusive learning environments and student success Engage families by offering resources, guidance, and support related to hearing loss and language development Track and report student progress, adjusting educational approaches as needed
