This contract role focuses on providing vital vision education services within a welcoming school community near Wood River, NE. Your expertise as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired will make a significant difference in the lives of students, empowering them to achieve academic and personal success.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current teaching certification with a specialization in Visual Impairment or related field Demonstrated experience working as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) in educational settings Strong understanding of Braille, assistive technology, and orientation & mobility concepts Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff Ability to assess student needs and adapt instructional materials accordingly Commitment to fostering independence and self-advocacy skills in students
Primary Responsibilities:
