Utilize instructional modifications and behavioral therapy techniques to support students with autism spectrum disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, and other disabilities. Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies tailored for students with developmental disabilities and special needs. Integrate educational technology tools to enhance learning experiences and facilitate engagement for all learners. Collaborate closely with speech therapists, behavioral health specialists, parents, and other professionals to coordinate comprehensive student support services. Conduct regular assessments, including standardized testing and progress monitoring, to evaluate student development and adjust instructional approaches accordingly. Maintain detailed documentation of student progress, IEP goals, behavioral reports, and communication logs for parent-teacher updates and legal compliance. Support early intervention initiatives by working with preschool-aged children to promote foundational skills in communication, socialization, and academic areas. Provide mentorship and guidance to teaching assistants or interns while fostering a positive classroom environment conducive to learning and growth. Experience Proven classroom experience in special education settings within elementary or preschool environments. Demonstrated expertise in working with children with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders and developmental delays. Strong knowledge of special education law, IEP development process, instructional modifications, and behavior management techniques. Experience integrating educational technology into lesson planning for diverse learners. Familiarity with speech therapy practices, behavioral health strategies, and literacy or math instruction for students with neurodevelopmental disorders. Prior experience working in private schools or Montessori settings is a plus but not required. Excellent communication skills for effective parent-teacher collaboration and team coordination.
