Job Description A school district serving students across middle and high school grade levels is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support a small group of students in a self-contained middle school classroom. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students in grades 6-8, strong classroom management skills, and a commitment to providing individualized academic and behavioral support in a collaborative school environment.

What you will be doing:

Provide specialized instruction in a self-contained classroom for students in grades 6-8. Develop and implement individualized instruction based on student needs and educational goals. Support students academically, behaviorally, and socially throughout the school day. Collaborate with school staff, related service providers, and families to support student success. Monitor student progress and maintain appropriate educational documentation. Participate in meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of individualized education plans. Create a structured, supportive, and engaging classroom environment. Provide individualized attention to a small caseload of approximately 5-6 students.

Experience you will need:

Appropriate New Hampshire Special Education teaching certification/licensure. Experience working with students in a self-contained special education setting. Experience supporting middle school students, ideally grades 6-8. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary school team.
