9595996-03741 Job Description Take your Special Education expertise to the next level by making a difference in a supportive school environment near Canaan, NH. This contract opportunity offers you the chance to work directly with students in grades 6-12, delivering personalized learning experiences and contributing to student growth and achievement.
Key Qualifications:
Current, active New Hampshire Special Education Teacher license is required Experience providing instruction and support to middle and high school students (grades 6-12) Skilled in both 1:1 and small group special education instructional techniques Strong communication and collaboration abilities with staff, students, and families Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Flexible and adaptable to meet the diverse needs of students Familiarity with providing direct services in a school or similar educational setting
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, standards-based SPED instruction to assigned students in grades 6-12 Provide a minimum of 20 hours per week of direct instructional services, including both 1:1 support and small group sessions Develop, adapt, and implement educational materials based on student IEPs and curriculum standards Monitor, document, and report student progress using assessment and data collection tools Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure student success Support students academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development throughout the NSY (non-standard year) By joining this opportunity, youll enhance your instructional skills while fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for students with special needs.
