Elementary High School Special Education Teacher | Concord, New Hampshire

Job Description

Step into an impactful teaching opportunity supporting students' success in a collaborative school environment. We're seeking two dedicated Special Education teachers for long-term substitute roles—one at the elementary level and one at the high school level. This contract position begins as soon as possible and continues until further notice, providing full-time hours and the chance to make a daily difference.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students' unique learning needs Adapt instructional strategies to accommodate varying abilities within the classroom Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure consistent support for students Monitor and document student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly Foster an inclusive, positive learning environment that encourages engagement and growth Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school activities as needed
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Valid Special Education certification for the state Previous experience working in either an elementary or high school setting preferred Strong understanding of special education laws, IEP development, and best practices in differentiated instruction Excellent communication skills for interactions with students, families, and teams Compassion, patience, and flexibility to support students with diverse needs In addition to gaining valuable experience in a supportive school community, you'll have the rewarding opportunity to help students reach their full potential.
