Special Education Teacher | Concord, New Hampshire

Job Description

Make a difference in the lives of students by supporting a dedicated Life Skills/Intensive Needs program for 5th and 6th graders. This contract opportunity runs ASAP through June 2027 and offers a rewarding position working Monday through Friday (full time, 35-37.5 hours per week) in a close-knit, supportive educational setting. You'll work with a very manageable caseload of just three students, providing individualized instruction and essential case management services.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification Previous experience working with students who have intensive needs preferred Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and families
Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized instruction in academic and life skills to 5th/6th grade students in a specialized program Serve as case manager for assigned students, ensuring compliance with IEPs Develop, implement, and monitor progress on individualized goals Communicate regularly with families and related service providers Maintain accurate student records and documentation Contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment This position offers a meaningful way to impact student achievement and foster growth, all within a supportive contract framework.
