Job Description

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of elementary students as a Special Education Teacher working full-time with a small, dedicated caseload. This rewarding contract position focuses on supporting students with autism in an inclusive, nurturing learning environment. With approximately six students under your care, you'll play a key role in fostering academic, behavioral, and social growth while collaborating with colleagues and families.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Valid Special Education teaching certification for New Hampshire (or eligibility to obtain) Proven success working with elementary-aged students, especially those on the autism spectrum Experience in case management, including IEP development and implementation Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills Ability to adapt instruction and support to meet diverse learner needs Patience, flexibility, and a passion for helping children thrive
Key Responsibilities:
Provide targeted instruction and support to elementary students with autism in line with individual education plans Develop, review, and maintain IEPs, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and families to ensure each students needs are addressed Lead case management, monitoring student progress, updating documentation, and communicating milestones Foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages independence and engagement Offer guidance and resources to general education teachers and classroom aides regarding accommodations and best practices Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development Enjoy the opportunity to work full-time (35 hours per week) in a supportive school community where your expertise has a lasting impact.
