9599504-03235 Job Description Embark on a rewarding contract assignment supporting 5th grade students with diverse learning needs in a vibrant educational environment near Franklin, NH. This role offers the unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a group of approximately twelve students, focusing on growth in reading, math, and executive functioning skills. The assignment runs from the end of August through the December break, providing an engaging way to build experience and help students thrive. In this position, youll collaborate closely with the regular education team, ensuring a cohesive and supportive learning experience. Most instruction occurs in a small group setting, allowing for tailored lessons and individualized attention. School hours run from 7:55 am to 3:25 pm, with core service hours between 8:30 am and 2:45 pm. Qualifications & Experience Current license or certification in Special Education Previous experience teaching elementary-aged students with learning deficits strongly preferred Strong skills in adapting curriculum for students with reading, math, and executive functioning challenges Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for teamwork with regular education staff Skilled in managing and motivating small groups of students Key Responsibilities Deliver targeted instruction in reading, math, and executive functioning to 5th graders Collaborate daily with grade-level teachers to support student learning goals Adapt and implement IEPs for each student, tracking progress and modifying plans as needed Foster a supportive, encouraging environment where all students can achieve their potential Communicate regularly with families and team members to share progress and address needs Step into a role where your passion for special education and collaborative spirit will make a profound difference.
