Job Description
Woodsville High School is seeking an energetic, organized, and highly collaborative special educator.
This position provides instruction to students according to their academic and developmental needs and supports the integration of instruction in reading, writing, and English Language Arts into the classrooms.
This position involves close collaboration with classroom teachers and other special educators both in and out of the regular classroom environment.
In addition to direct instruction of students, duties include case management for eligible students, maintaining compliance with all state and federal regulations, conducting evaluations and ongoing progress monitoring, designing and implementing direct intervention services, and supervising paraprofessionals and related service providers. Preference for teacher with experience in math instruction.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Current VT or NH license with an endorsement in special education OR eligibility for such through NH alternatives to licensure
2. Master's degree in special education preferable
3. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
4. Prior successful teaching experience as well as skills in collaboration and teamwork preferable
