50 Stars Staffing is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join a school-based educational team in Lebanon, New Hampshire . In this vital role, you will design and implement individualized instructional strategies that meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities, including students with autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, and other learning and neurodevelopmental needs. The ideal candidate will foster an inclusive learning environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally while collaborating with teachers, therapists, specialists, and families. Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with each student's abilities, needs, and goals. Provide specialized instruction and differentiated learning experiences. Adapt curriculum, lessons, and instructional materials to accommodate diverse learning needs. Implement evidence-based behavioral and classroom-management strategies. Support students with autism, developmental disabilities, and other special education needs. Conduct ongoing assessments and monitor student academic and behavioral progress. Maintain accurate progress-monitoring and special education documentation. Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, school psychologists, and other specialists. Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings. Maintain consistent communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and educational needs. Create and maintain a safe, structured, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment. Use appropriate educational technology and instructional tools to enhance student engagement and learning. Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field. Valid New Hampshire Special Education teaching certification/license or eligibility to obtain one. Experience working with students with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities, preferred. Strong knowledge of IEP development, instructional modifications, accommodations, and progress monitoring. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Strong classroom-management and behavior-support skills. Ability to differentiate instruction in academic areas such as literacy and mathematics. Experience with early childhood, elementary education, or specialized educational programs is a plus. Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and school staff.
