Job Description

Make an impact as a Special Education Teacher working with elementary-age students in a supportive, collaborative environment located near Manchester, NH. This full-time contract position offers the rewarding opportunity to support and teach students with autism, with a manageable caseload of 6 students. Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teaching certification Experience in an elementary setting preferred Background working with students with autism, including knowledge of individualized education programs (IEPs) Strong organizational and communication skills to manage caseloads and foster family engagement Skill in developing and adapting lesson plans to meet diverse learning needs
Responsibilities:
Oversee a caseload of 6 elementary-aged students identified with autism, providing tailored instruction to support their educational and social-emotional growth Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with staff, specialists, and families Employ evidence-based strategies and accommodations to promote student participation and success Maintain accurate records; track progress and update documentation as required Communicate regularly with families, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that values student strengths and encourages independence
