Job Description
Long-Term Substitute Special Education Teacher
Milton School District is seeking a caring, dedicated, and collaborative Long-Term Substitute Special Education Teacher to join our team.
Position Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs.
- Implement students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and accommodations.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, related service providers, and families.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Support students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree preferred; degree in Special Education or a related field is a plus.
- Valid teaching certification/licensure preferred, depending on state requirements.
- Experience working with students with disabilities is preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
- A patient, flexible, and student-centered approach.
