Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a difference for elementary students as a Special Education Teacher in a supportive school setting near Nashua, NH. This full-time contract role runs from September 2026 through June 2027, offering the opportunity to enrich the lives of students by developing individualized learning plans and collaborating with dedicated staff. You'll be providing targeted instruction and co-teaching within classrooms, focusing on small groups to ensure each child achieves their potential.

Key Qualifications:

Valid Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility) required Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and families Excellent communication and organizational skills Compassion, patience, and adaptability in dynamic educational environments

Role Responsibilities:

Deliver specialized instruction to elementary students in both pull-out small groups and inclusive co-taught classroom settings Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with the broader education team Adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet diverse learning needs Maintain thorough, accurate documentation in compliance with all regulations Engage in regular communication with parents and guardians, providing progress updates and fostering positive relationships Participate in school meetings, professional development, and contribute to a positive team culture
