Position Summary The Special Education Teacher / Academic Case Manager plays a vital role as part of our academic and treatment team. This position is responsible for providing specialized instruction, managing student educational programming, implementing IEPs and accommodations, monitoring academic progress, and creating a positive classroom environment where students can succeed. Develop lesson plans, assignments, assessments, and progress monitoring tools. Implement and monitor IEPs, accommodations, and modifications. Deliver specialized instruction for students receiving special education services. Maintain educational documentation, progress reports, grading, and case management responsibilities. Monitor student academic, behavioral, and social-emotional progress. Utilize positive behavioral interventions and classroom management strategies. Coordinate accommodations for state and standardized testing. Collaborate with families, administrators, clinicians, and outside agencies to support student success. Participate in IEP meetings, treatment team meetings, faculty meetings, and professional development. Supervise and support paraprofessionals and teaching assistants. Assist with school activities, field trips, and student enrichment opportunities. Maintain confidentiality and uphold all school policies and procedures. Qualifications Required Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field. New Hampshire Educator Certification with Special Education endorsement appropriate for grade level. Minimum age of 21 years. Preferred Two or more years of Special Education teaching experience. Experience working with middle and high school students. Experience working with students who have learning, emotional, or behavioral challenges. Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring. Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
