Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Bring your expertise in special education to a fulfilling contract opportunity in a vibrant elementary setting for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time position spans from September 2026 through June 2027, offering the chance to make a significant impact in the lives of young learners. As a valued special education professional, you will work a consistent weekly schedule of 35 hours, with daily hours from 8:15 AM to 3:30 PM. The role focuses primarily on providing small group instruction and co-teaching within general education classrooms, supporting students' individual learning goals while collaborating closely with classroom teachers and support staff. Your experience and passion for helping students thrive will be at the core of everything you do, fostering inclusive learning environments and promoting academic and personal growth. What we're looking for: Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher Experience supporting elementary-aged students (preferred) Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Flexible, resourceful, and dedicated to empowering diverse learners Primary responsibilities: Deliver tailored instruction to small groups and/or co-teach in classrooms Implement instructional strategies and accommodations per IEP guidelines Collect data, assess student progress, and adjust educational plans as needed Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and staff collaboration Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment You'll be joining a supportive environment where collaboration and professional growth are valued.
