Special Education Teacher | Rochester, New Hampshire

Job Description

This contracted opportunity offers a fulfilling full-time schedule, supporting a diverse K-12 population near Rochester, NH. With only one opening available, you'll work 35 hours per week in a supportive environment focused on individualized success. In this position, you'll collaborate with fellow educators to deliver resource room instruction and provide targeted push-in services within general education classrooms. There is also potential to support a life skills program, allowing you to broaden your instructional range and positively influence students with a variety of needs—including those with ASD, behavioral and learning differences, and moderate disabilities.
Key Qualifications:
Valid certification in Special Education (state credentials required or ability to obtain) Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, ideally within a K-12 setting Familiarity with IEP development, documentation, and compliance Strong skills in adapting curriculum and instruction to meet a spectrum of needs Collaborative approach and excellent communication skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver instruction to students in resource room settings and within general education classrooms Implement and monitor IEPs, ensuring individualized, measurable progress Work closely with other educators, service providers, and families Utilize data-driven strategies to address academic and behavioral goals Maintain organized, accurate records in accordance with school and district policies Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment supportive of students' growth and confidence This position offers the chance to make meaningful contributions in a contract role and expand your experience across multiple program types.
