Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Lead Teacher to inspire and guide young learners in a vibrant educational environment. The Lead Teacher will play a pivotal role in designing engaging curricula, implementing individualized learning plans, and fostering a nurturing space where children with diverse needs can thrive. This energetic leader will collaborate closely with families, support staff, and specialists to promote holistic development, ensuring each child's unique potential is unlocked through innovative teaching strategies and compassionate care. The ideal candidate is dedicated to early childhood education, possesses strong classroom management skills, and has a deep understanding of special education principles. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating educational technology and evidence-based practices. Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of students with disabilities, including those with autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management techniques and individualized behavior plans. Conduct assessments such as standardized testing and progress monitoring to evaluate student growth and inform instruction. Collaborate with speech therapists, behavioral health specialists, and other professionals to support students' communication skills and behavioral health needs. Maintain detailed records of student IEPs (Individualized Education Programs), progress reports, and behavioral observations in compliance with special education law. Foster an inclusive environment that promotes literacy, math skills, social-emotional development, and early childhood competencies through engaging activities. Mentor and support assistant teachers or paraprofessionals to ensure high-quality instructional delivery. Communicate regularly with families about student progress, challenges, and strategies for continued development. Skills Proven experience working with children in early childhood education settings, including preschool or private school environments. Strong knowledge of special education practices, including curriculum development for students with disabilities and neurodevelopmental disorders. Expertise in classroom management and behavior management tailored for students with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders. Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and legal requirements related to special education law. Proficiency in educational technology integration to enhance learning experiences. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with families, colleagues, and external specialists. Experience in speech therapy techniques, behavioral therapy strategies, and literacy or math instruction for young learners. Ability to adapt lessons for diverse learning styles while maintaining high standards of academic achievement. Knowledge of early intervention practices that support developmental milestones in young children. Demonstrated leadership qualities with mentoring capabilities for staff development. Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
