Horizon Staffing Resources is seeking qualified paraprofessionals in Passaic County, NJ for coverage for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. Paraprofessionals will assist classroom teachers in providing extra support to students with special needs, while promoting maximum academic and personal growth. The job responsibilities range from supplementing regular classroom curriculum to helping individual students.
Hours/Schedule Schedule:
• Monday through Friday, as needed/requested by the school district • Working hours dependent on school and classroom setting Responsibilities Provide instructional reinforcement for students Attend to student's physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs Support students with special needs by following provisions specified in their IEPs/504 Plans Assist with administrative duties such as setting up equipment and preparing materials Assist teacher with classroom management and general supervision of the class as needed Perform other duties as directed by the classroom teacher and/or school administration Requirements Previous experience with childcare preferred Excellent communication skills and ability to understand child's needs High school diploma or equivalent; associates or bachelor's degree required for some positions Must have or be willing to get fingerprinted by the Board of Education. Qualification Requirements High School Diploma (required); or An Associate's Degree or higher (preferred); or Some completion of study at an institution of higher learning (preferred) #HHS23
