Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

Job Description
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Valid New Jersey Teaching Certificate, with required Special Education or Learning Disability Teacher Certification Experience performing student evaluations, with the ability to utilize data to guide instruction and intervention Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and monitoring for elementary populations Flexibility to travel between four assigned school locations within the district Solid communication skills for effective partnerships with families, staff, and support teams NJ Tech Certification requiredPrimary Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and group instruction for students with diverse learning needs, following IEP goals Conduct comprehensive student evaluations to identify strengths and areas of growth Adapt curriculum, resources, and instructional strategies to maximize student engagement and achievement Monitor and document student progress, attendance, and participation Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including counselors and specialists Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and program updatesBenefits & Perks:
