Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a role where your expertise as a Special Education Teacher can make a significant impact throughout the academic year. This contract position runs from August 31st through June 22nd, with work hours from 7:35 AM to 3:05 PM. Located near Newark, NJ, you'll be vital in supporting the educational journey of students who benefit from specialized teaching in an in-class setting. In this position, you'll work across five in-class support classes, collaborating closely with general education teachers. Each class has up to 10 students, ensuring you can offer targeted instructional assistance and individual attention. By adapting instructional strategies and materials, you'll help foster student engagement and growth, making a real difference every school day.
Key Qualifications:
Valid special education teaching certification required Previous high school experience is preferred, but educators from varied backgrounds will be considered Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues, students, and families Passion for inclusive education and empowering diverse learners Strong classroom management and organizational skills
Core Responsibilities:
