Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make an impact supporting students' educational journeys as a dedicated Special Education Teacher on a contract basis near Paterson, NJ. This role provides a rewarding opportunity to collaborate with fellow educators and foster a supportive learning environment for students with diverse needs.
Key Qualifications:
Valid teaching certification in Special Education Experience working with students who have a range of learning and/or behavioral differences Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress evaluation Ability to create engaging, individualized lesson plans that address various learning styles Excellent communication skills for collaboration with families, staff, and multidisciplinary teams Flexibility, problem-solving skills, and a passion for student advocacy
Responsibilities:
Develop and adapt instructional materials to meet students' unique needs Provide direct instruction and support in both individual and group settings Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly Maintain accurate records, including IEP documentation and assessment logs Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to ensure optimal support Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student growth, goals, and strategies for success Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued This contract position allows you to make a meaningful difference in students' lives and provides an opportunity to grow in a dynamic educational setting.
