Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting students' growth as a Special Education Teacher in a vibrant educational community near Paterson, NJ. This contract opportunity runs from August 31st through June 22nd, with consistent hours from 7:35 AM to 3:05 PM each school day. You'll provide essential instructional support across five in-class support classes, reaching up to 10 students per class.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification required Experience working at the high school level is preferred, though those with other backgrounds are encouraged to apply Strong collaboration skills for effective partnership with general education teachers Passion for fostering inclusive learning environments Creative problem-solving abilities to adapt instruction for diverse learning needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide in-class instructional support within general education settings, helping students access curriculum and build essential skills Partner with classroom teachers to develop lesson modifications and accommodations Track student progress and contribute to IEP development and review Manage small group and individualized instructional activities Offer behavioral and academic interventions as needed Maintain detailed records in compliance with IDEA and school protocols Foster a supportive classroom climate, encouraging positive student engagement Perks in
