Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role making a direct difference in the lives of students as a Special Education Teacher. Work in a nurturing educational environment, supporting a small group of learners in a self-contained setting. This assignment is conveniently located near Paterson, NJ and runs from November 2, 2026, through March 25, 2027, with the possibility of an earlier start in mid-October depending on the duration of the current leave. You will guide both morning (9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.) and afternoon (12:50 p.m. - 3:20 p.m.) sessions, each with just three self-contained students, allowing for a strong focus on personalized instruction and engagement.
Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification Experience working with self-contained classrooms or students with diverse learning needs Strong commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom culture Excellent communication and collaborative skills Adaptability to tailor instructional approaches to individual student goals Dedication to upholding IEP accommodations and educational best practices
Key Responsibilities:
