Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of students with unique learning needs by providing dedicated educational support on a contract basis. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid state certification as a Special Education Teacher Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred) Previous teaching experience in special education settings is strongly preferred Proficient in developing and implementing IEPs Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills Ability to adapt lessons to varied learning styles and needs Positive, patient, and flexible attitude
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver engaging instructional activities tailored to students' individual education plans Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff Track student progress and provide regular updates to parents, guardians, and administrators Maintain accurate and thorough documentation relating to IEP goals and state requirements Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom climate that fosters learning and independence Participate in professional development and school meetings as required
