Job Description

Positon:
Special Education Teacher -
High School English Position Summary:
Ridgewood Public Schools seeks a Special Education Teacher - High School English. The ideal candidate
Responsibilities Include:
Teaching English Language Arts aligned with district curriculum and standards Delivering engaging lessons in literature, writing, grammar, and critical thinking Supporting students in developing analytical and communication skills Assessing student progress and providing timely feedback Collaborating with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning and school-wide initiatives Maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment Work collaboratively with the CST Differentiate instruction within the classroom to address learning needs Maintain PLAAFP's for students in the classroom Collect and analyze data used to develop and monitor students goals and objectives
Working Conditions:
Full-time, permanent position, medical benefits and pension. Salary range is $70,062 - $125,242, commensurate with education and experience as per negotiated contract.
Start and End Date:
October 19, 2026 - June 30, 2027

Other Requirements:
New Jersey K-12 Content Certification in English Must demonstrate knowledge of NJSLS in English Language Arts New Jersey Students with Disability Certification Must demonstrate ability to differentiate instruction and use technology to enhance instruction and assess students Must demonstrate independent initiative for professional growth Must be able to effectively communicate with teachers, parents, and administrators both verbally and in writing Must be able to work collaboratively and have experience maintaining harmonious relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
