Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid state certification as a Special Education Teacher Previous experience working with students who have special needs Strong knowledge of best practices in special education, assessments, and progress monitoring Excellent organizational, communication, and classroom management skills Ability to tailor instructional methods to varied learning styles and abilities Willingness to collaborate with general education staff, support personnel, and families
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver individualized lesson plans that accommodate specific learning challenges Develop, implement, and regularly update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Track student progress, conduct assessments, and provide thorough reports Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere conducive to growth and achievement Partner with fellow educators and support staff to maximize student outcomes Communicate with parents and guardians to discuss student goals, progress, and strategies Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with relevant policies and regulations This contract role offers the chance to empower students, make tangible impacts, and gain meaningful experience in a vibrant educational setting.
