This contract opportunity offers the chance to support a diverse caseload of 30 to 40 students, providing specialized instruction across four school locations, all within a collaborative and resource-rich environment. With a full-time schedule running from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., you'll play a vital role throughout the full academic year and through June 2027. Your expertise in conducting evaluations will be highly valued, as you'll contribute to effective education plans for students requiring learning support. This position is ideal for educators who thrive on variety, as youll rotate between Port Redding, Indiana Ave, Claremont Ave, and Kennedy Park elementary schools, with a home base for administrative purposes.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Valid New Jersey Teaching Certificate for SPED/Learning Disability Teacher. Prior experience working with elementary students in special education settings. Demonstrated skill in conducting and interpreting student evaluations. Flexibility to travel between multiple school sites as required. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with staff, students, and families. NJ Tech Cert required.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality special education instruction tailored to individual student needs. Perform student evaluations and assessments to inform individualized education plans (IEPs). Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design, implement, and revise IEPs. Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and documentation as needed. Foster an inclusive, positive classroom environment conducive to learning and growth.
