Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in the academic and personal growth of elementary school students as a dedicated Special Education Teacher. This full-time contract opportunity offers the chance to support learners with diverse needs across several school sites near Woodbridge, NJ. You'll coordinate with a robust team while working with a caseload of 30-40 students, providing impactful instruction and leading evaluations.
Key Qualifications:
Current NJ Teaching Certification required NJ Tech Certification needed Endorsement as a Learning Disability Teacher-Consultant (SPED/LDT-C) preferred Proven experience conducting student evaluations is essential Previous work with elementary-age students in a special education setting highly valued Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and small group instruction to students with special needs, targeting IEPrelated goals Manage and adapt educational plans based on student progress and evaluation results Lead and participate in student evaluations, assessments, and review meetings Maintain detailed, timely student records and collaborate with parents and interdisciplinary teams Travel between four designated school sites; organize your schedule and resources with the Colonial Middle School as a central base (no services provided at the base location) Participate in professional development and contribute to creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment This assignment is full time, running from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, covering the entire school year through June 23, 2027.
