Job Description

Step into an impactful position supporting middle school students as a dedicated contract Special Education Teacher in a resource room setting. Full-time opportunities are now available, where you'll have the chance to provide targeted academic support while collaborating closely with both students and general education staff. New teacher orientation is scheduled for July 22nd, with the first day for staff on July 27th. The school year kicks off on August 3rd, giving you a smooth start and time to connect with your new team.
Key Qualifications:
Active Special Education Teacher certification required Experience working with a middle school population preferred Strong understanding of resource room instruction and caseload management Ability to adapt content for diverse learning needs, with a focus on math and reading mastery Collaborative mindset with skills in co-teaching and classroom push-in supports Excellent communication skills with students, staff, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of approximately 20 students, ensuring all academic and IEP goals are met Deliver direct instruction in math and reading within the resource room Push into general education classrooms to provide targeted assistance and facilitate inclusion Develop individualized instruction plans and monitor student progress regularly Collaborate with general education teachers, school support staff, and families Participate actively in team meetings, professional development sessions, and IEP reviews Highly competitive hourly compensation is offered, within the range of $32 to $40 per hour, commensurate with experience and credentials.
