Key Qualifications:
Current licensure or certification as a Special Education Teacher (or eligibility for state credentials) Experience working with students with a range of disabilities or individualized education plans (IEPs) Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage with students, families, and staff Dedication to fostering an inclusive, motivating, and supportive learning environment Flexibility and adaptability to respond to student needs and changing situations Ability to develop and implement individualized instructional strategies and behavioral interventions
Primary Responsibilities:
Design and deliver specialized instruction aligned with each student's IEP goals Monitor student progress and document outcomes, making adjustments as needed Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers for a team-based approach Communicate regularly with families regarding student growth and program participation Create a positive, structured classroom atmosphere to encourage learning and self-confidence Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current on educational best practices Imagine yourself advocating for students, making a difference daily, and collaborating with a supportive educational community.
