Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Seeking skilled Special Education Teachers passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with autism. Multiple contract opportunities are available for educators eager to support elementary, middle, or high school learners. This role will involve working across two campuses, providing essential educational services tailored to meet the unique needs of each student. Ideal candidates excel in adapting curriculum, fostering inclusion, and collaborating with diverse teams to create supportive learning environments. Your expertise will be crucial in helping students achieve their individual goals and thrive in academic and social settings.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid state certification in Special Education Experience teaching students with autism, preferably across multiple age groups Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation Effective communication and collaboration skills with families, colleagues, and support staff Commitment to individualized, evidence-based instructional strategies Flexibility to work with elementary, middle, or high school caseloads
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver differentiated instruction to students on the autism spectrum Develop, review, and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Implement behavioral and academic interventions as needed Work closely with general education teachers, therapists, and families Utilize data to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly Establish a structured yet supportive classroom environment This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative setting while helping students build essential academic and social skills.
