9660226-89031 Job Description Exciting opportunities are available for two dedicated Special Education Teachers to make a meaningful impact at a highly supportive campus located on Nellis Air Force Base near North Las Vegas, NV. These full-time contract roles run through May 31, 2027, serving either elementary or middle school instructional needs. The positions are based in self-contained classrooms, each designed for a maximum of 13 studentsprimarily those with Autism or complex needssupported by multiple paraprofessionals to ensure a collaborative and well-resourced environment.

What youll bring:

Valid Nevada Special Education Teaching License (required) Experience working with students with Autism and high-needs populations preferred Skills in classroom management, differentiation, and individualized instruction Ability to work collaboratively with paraprofessional staff Strong communication, empathy, and adaptability What youll do: Lead a self-contained classroom with a manageable caseload, ensuring personalized instruction and support for each student Work closely with multiple paraprofessionals and aides to foster a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment Implement evidence-based strategies to address the unique learning needs of your students Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and families to ensure student growth and success Participate in professional development and ongoing staff support initiatives Support your students as they attend specials classes with assigned aides These roles are set in the districts highest-needs campus, enriching your experience and career growth.
