Floating Infant & Toddler Teacher Teaching Age Group:
6 months - 36 months Schedule Monday through Friday 11:00am - 2:00pm Additional on-call coverage for Infant & Toddler classrooms as needed Job Summary At Jumper Bean Daycare & Preschool, we are expanding within our preschool building and opening new Infant and Toddler classrooms for the upcoming school year. We are seeking a reliable, experienced, and nurturing Floating Teacher to support both our Infant and Toddler programs. This role includes consistent midday hours, along with additional on-call coverage for Lead and Assistant Teachers as needed. The ideal candidate is flexible, confident working with multiple age groups, and able to step into classrooms while maintaining a calm, structured, and engaging environment. Responsibilities Provide coverage for Infant and Toddler Lead and Assistant Teachers during scheduled breaks Step into classrooms as needed to maintain proper ratios and continuity of care Provide on-call coverage for staff absences when needed Support daily routines including feeding, diapering, napping, and play Ensure a safe, clean, and nurturing environment at all times Maintain consistency in care and classroom expectations across age groups Follow all OCFS regulations and center policies Build positive relationships with children, staff, and families Assist with classroom transitions, organization, and daily needs Qualifications Previous experience working in both infant and toddler child care settings (required) Comfortable working across multiple classrooms and age groups CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Strong understanding of both infant and toddler development Patient, nurturing, and adaptable Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Ability to step into different roles with confidence Passion for working with young children Benefits/Perks Supportive and positive work environment Consistent daily schedule with additional flexible hours available Opportunity to be part of a growing program Professional growth and development opportunities Monthly team-building sessions with a professional mental performance coach Staff recognition and appreciation initiatives Fun holiday parties and team celebrations Simple IRA with employer matching
