This contract opportunity is based in Albany, New York, and offers the chance to provide 1:1 instruction for a medically fragile 7-year-old residing in a nursing home. Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Valid Special Education Teacher certification Experience working with students in special education, preferably with medically fragile populations Compassion, patience, and the ability to develop individualized educational plans Strong communication skills for collaboration with families, nursing staff, and educational coordinators Ability to adapt instructional approaches to meet unique learning and health needs

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver 1:1 instruction for approximately 2-3 hours each day in the nursing home environment Create and implement customized lesson plans suited to the students abilities and medical considerations Track and report on student progress, maintaining thorough documentation Coordinate with nursing home staff and other professionals to support the students well-being and educational goals Uphold a supportive and engaging learning environment, adapting as needed to the students medical status Enjoy the opportunity to provide life-changing support in a rewarding teaching environment that values individualized care.
