This contract opportunity begins as soon as possible and offers a flexible part-time schedule (2-3 days per week). Qualifications:

Valid New York State certification as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Previous experience teaching K-12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing Proficiency in language development strategies, assistive technology, and accessible curriculum adaptation Strong communication skills with students, families, and educational teams Comfortable with both in-person and remote (virtual) instruction

Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized and group instruction to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, ensuring access to the general curriculum Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to implement IEP accommodations and modifications Monitor student progress and maintain documentation in accordance with school and state requirements Provide consultation and training for school personnel and families on best practices in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment where students can thrive academically and socially
