Valid Special Education Teacher certification required Additional certification in science (biology, chemistry, physics, or general science) preferred Previous experience working in high school settings or with adolescent students with special needs Strong classroom management skills and the ability to implement IEPs effectively Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Key responsibilities: Develop and deliver lessons tailored to students individualized education plans (IEPs) Create a supportive learning atmosphere that nurtures students academic and social development Collaborate with general education teachers, paraeducators, and support staff to ensure cohesive instruction Monitor student progress, maintain detailed records, and communicate regularly with families and educational teams Adapt science curriculum to meet varying abilities and promote engagement among all students This contract role provides a fantastic chance to broaden your experience while making a meaningful contribution in a high school setting.
