Classrooms follow an 8:1:3 model and are fully self-contained to meet individual needs. The role runs Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, spanning from ASAP through June 2027. You'll receive thorough onboarding and training during your first two weeks. Teachers are encouraged to come in early or stay late to manage paperwork, IEPs, and planning, with an opportunity to be approved for up to 40 hours per week. You'll be paired with an age group that suits your background best, contributing your expertise as a vital part of a dedicated team.

Qualifications:

New York State Special Education (Students with Disabilities) license, or actively working toward licensure Recent graduates with a Master's or professionals with out-of-state licensure seeking reciprocity encouraged to apply Experience with level 3 autism, severe behaviors, or alternative/augmentative communication preferred Strong skills in implementing alternative assessments and curriculum modifications Comfortable supporting students with intensive medical or behavioral needs
