Special Education Teacher/Early Childhood Teacher SteppingStone Day School, Inc., established in 1983, is a large, private, not for profit preschool agency serving young children with and without disabilities. Our mission is to provide collaborative evaluation, education, therapy and family support services so that young children can develop to their full potential and with their families and friends as members of the community.
Job Description:
We are currently looking for a Full-Time Special Education Teacher. This is a permanent, salaried positions in which the Special Education Teacher is a member of the school wide team and provided with support from therapeutic and administrative professionals. SteppingStone believes that by working together we can apply our individual strengths to meet the needs of our students and families, which guarantees success for all. We welcome staff who come to us with a wide range of experience from new graduates, who may need a more hands on approach, to seasoned teachers who are looking to work collaboratively with fellow educators and experienced therapists. Through hands on supervision and a Peer Coaching Model, SteppingStone assists all our staff to expand their skills, take on challenges and experience success! The salary range for this position is $75,000 - 85,000 - based on experience. We welcome recent grads to apply! Requirements:
NYS Certification in Students with Disabilities (Birth-2nd Grade) NYS Certification in General Education ( Birth-2nd Grade) a plus Experience in working with children 3-5 years of age a plus
