NYS Certificate Students With Disabilities (SWD)JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking experienced teachers with NYS Students with Disabilities Certificate, knowledge of ABA based teaching approach knowledge plus, to fill the role of (SEIT / SETSS) to provide 1:1 support for children towards reaching their IEP and ADL goals. DOE employees cant be hired for this position SETSS helps his or her student reach the goals listed on the student's IEP. Candidate should have knowledge how to communicate effectively and working collaboratively with the student's IEP team, family's members throughout the school year.SETSS ABA
in addition to the above description, the teacher should be responsible for: Create individualized ABA programs based on child's developmental needs and strengths Work towards facilitating a child's participation in goal-oriented activities referenced in the IEP and other stated goals. Provide detailed documentation of session progress Work closely with family, therapists and program supervisor Sessions will be conducted mostly at home settings or via remote teaching, however, as the role grows some session may occur in local private schools and preschools.EXPERIENCE
