What We're Looking For:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification for K-12 or K-6 Master's degree in Special Education or a related field Relevant classroom experience in special education settings Strong collaboration skills for partnering with teachers, staff, and families Passion for differentiated instruction and inclusive classroom practices Excellent communication and organization abilities Ability to adapt quickly and begin as soon as possible
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for elementary students Deliver specialized instruction and adapt curricula to meet diverse learning needs Foster a safe, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate and timely records Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and strategies for success Participate in IEP meetings and serve as a student advocate
