Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childhood development and experience working with students, including those with developmental disabilities. This role requires a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment that promotes the growth and education of all children. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students. Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning. Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to students and parents as needed. Collaborate with other educators and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for all students. Provide guidance and support to teaching assistants and volunteers in the classroom. Maintain a safe and organized classroom, ensuring compliance with child welfare regulations. Engage with families to build strong relationships that support student development. Stay informed about best practices in education, particularly in areas such as deaf education and working with individuals with disabilities. Requirements Proven experience working with students in an educational or daycare setting. Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Familiarity with deaf education techniques is a plus. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues. Ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that meets the needs of all learners. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for educating children. A relevant degree or certification in education or a related field is preferred.
